Brown vs White Mushrooms for Wholesale Orders

Fresh brown and white mushrooms can serve different wholesale programs. Buyers should compare size range, pack references, channel fit, cold-chain notes, photos, and document scope before choosing.

Brown and white mushrooms are usually chosen for different sales jobs

Brown and white mushrooms are both Agaricus bisporus, but wholesale buyers should not treat them as the same line with a different color. White button mushrooms are often selected for familiar retail packs, food-service prep, and broad menu use. Brown mushrooms are usually chosen when the buyer wants a darker cap, firmer visual impression, or a different presentation for retail, food-service, or processing. The buying decision should come down to size range, pack reference, channel, cold-chain plan, and the photos or documents needed before approval.

Choose white button mushrooms when the program needs a familiar fresh line

Bojiu currently lists Fresh White Button Mushroom 3-4cm and Fresh White Button Mushroom 3-5cm. The 3-5cm page gives a 3kg/box packing reference, while the 3-4cm line asks buyers to confirm packing by RFQ. For a retail or food-service buyer, the practical questions are simple: what size range is acceptable, how uniform should the caps look, what pack format is expected, and will the order need product photos before price approval?

Choose brown mushrooms when cap color and channel presentation matter

Bojiu's brown mushroom range includes Brown Mushroom 4-5cm with a 3kg/box packing reference and Brown Mushroom 4-6cm with a 5kg/box packing reference. A buyer comparing brown mushrooms with white button mushrooms should not only ask which one is cheaper. Brown mushrooms may be a better fit when the channel wants a darker cap appearance, a bulk brown mushroom line, or a product that sits near Swiss Brown / Cremini Mushroom or Portobello Mushroom 8-10cm in the assortment. Ask for current lot photos and packing photos before treating two offers as equal.

Keep size and packing separate in the quote request

A clean comparison uses separate quote lines. One line can request Fresh White Button Mushroom 3-5cm with the desired pack, destination, shipment timing, and photo requirements. Another line can request Brown Mushroom 4-5cm or Brown Mushroom 4-6cm with its own pack reference and use case. This matters because a 3kg/box white-button order, a 3kg/box brown mushroom order, and a 5kg/box brown mushroom order may create different carton, pallet, and inspection conversations.

Cold-chain and arrival checks should be written into the order

Bojiu's fresh mushroom product data lists 0-4 C refrigerated storage and cold-chain transportation for the fresh lines. Buyers should still confirm dispatch timing, route, temperature expectations, arrival-photo request, and what happens if the caps arrive with visible damage. The product page gives a baseline. The order should turn that baseline into a shipment-specific check that the importer, distributor, and supplier can all follow.

Match documents to the exact mushroom line

Bojiu's qualification pages include organic certificate context covering Brown Mushroom and White Mushroom scope, plus inspection reports for fresh white and brown mushroom samples. Buyers should check the holder, product scope, sample description, issue date, and whether the document applies to the exact shipment being quoted. If the same purchase plan includes Swiss Brown / Cremini Mushroom, Portobello Mushroom 8-10cm, or Dried Brown Mushroom Slices, keep each line separate in the approval notes.
